Built as the Theatre Royal in 1732. there have been two major fires at the site. The current buildings foyer, facade and auditorium date back to 1856. The reming parts were reconstructed in the 1990's.

Fruit and Veg cart:
Convent or later to be called Covent Garden, started life in the 1040's as a kitchen garden for the monks of Westminster Abbey. All of the church's property in England were dissolved by King Henry the 8th in 1534, Convent garden being sold of the 1st Earl of Bedford. The market started operation ing the grounds of Bedford House in 1656.
